This concert is $20 General Admission/$15 Students, Seniors & Artists
Walther has toured in US and Europe, and performed extensively in the Bay Area, including at Yoshi’s and the SF Jazz Center. Her compositions were featured in the film soundtrack “Not Without Us” and aired on PBS. She has performed with artists such as Jethro Tull/Ian Anderson, Joe Lovano, Gloria Estefan, Mark Feldman, and many others.
Georgianna Krieger’s musical compositions weave melodies intended to delight the listener. Because Georgianna holds dual degrees in music and sculpture and maintains a serious professional practice in both fields, she would tell you she sees a direct correlation between gestural drawing, her sculpture and jazz improvisation. “The media are quite different” she says, but the conceptual goal: “to explore a fleeting moment”, is the same.
Krieger is a sought-after performer and saxophone teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area. She plays soprano, alto and baritone saxophones and performs with acclaimed jazz groups Resonance Jazz Ensemble, and Mary Lou’s Apartment. Her career has included performances at Yoshi’s, SF Jazz Center and Freight and Salvage.
