MusicAEterna performs “CONCERT for PEACE” with guest artist Tom Rose, clarinet. Casal’s lovely anthem for peace, “Song of the Birds”, is followed by Messiaen’s extraordinary “Quartet for the End of Time”. Composed and first performed by Messiaen during WWII while he was a prisoner of war, this masterpiece lyrically explores themes of darkness, light and transformation.
