Pianist Joanna Rozewska Plays Chopin, Scriabin and Debussy - SOLD OUT


Joanna Różewska was born on 7th February 1988 in Siedlce. She began to learn piano playing at the age of 8. In 2012 she graduated with distinction from the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the class of prof. Elżbieta Tarnawska. Currently, she is a postgraduate student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in the class of prof. Yoshikazu Nagai.

She is a laureate of numerous national and international piano competitions, among others: prizes at the International Piano Competition “Münchner Klavierpodium der Jugend”: Media-prize, Audience-prize, Award “Virtuoso 2013”, Award for the ”Fine piano tone”, “Hadé-Müller-Prize” Munich for best rendition of a romantic piece, “Vienna Young Pianists Prize”, „Wolfgang Faber-Prize“ for poetic interpretation (2013), 2nd prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Mariánské Lázně (2013), 1st prize ex aequo at the COOP Music Awards - Prize Antonio Bertolini in Milan (2014).

Joanna Różewska has performed in China, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, USA and Ukraine as soloist and with various orchestras.

She played for the Presidents of Poland (Lech Wałęsa, Bronisław Komorowski), the President of Turkey (Abdullah Gül), the Queen Sonja of Norway, the Prince Charles of Wales, and the Prime Minister of China (Wen Jiabao).

Joanna Różewska received scholarships of the Ministry of Culture, the National Children Fund and the “Young Poland” scholarship for CD recording.
